"The Gathering" by Delain; "The Other Side" by Sirenia

The first song today is a catchy and upbeat one from the Dutch band Delain. The band's founder is keyboardist Martijn Westerholt, formerly of Within Temptation fame. Delain has collaborated with a great number of who-is-who in the symphonic metal scene, including Sharon den Adel, Liv Kristine and Marco Hietala. From Lucidity,here is "The Gathering", co-vocaled by Marco Hietala of Nightwish.

Following-up with a smilar genre, "The Other Side" from Sirenia's third Album Nine Destinies and a Downfall is a well-polished song and accompanying video in the band's repertoire. Sirenia has gone through a handful of member line-ups, but still managed to produce quality titles. Nine Destinies and a Downfall features Monika Pedersen as the lead vocalist.
