Back in the Saddle, Experimenting with OpenCalais and RDF

After getting back to civilization, I feel like stepping into the future and implementing semantic web capabilities on some of my sites.

With the audience always in mind, allow me to open by apologizing. This site, while it is my primary expression platform on the web, is not what many would call "production" site, as sometimes I try new things (Drupal modules, for example) live, without even taking the site off-line for maintenance. As careless as it may seem for a developer, I have grown accustomed to the stability of Drupal, and I find myself ever more daring when applying updates or even core and database tweaks. (More on those experiments later, I have a number of stories written I have to upload here and backdate for the sake of chronological accuracy.) I ask the reader to not get thrown off-track when at times strange elements, such as RDF keywords created by OpenCalais, appear on a few articles. Rest assured that all these improvements are meant to enhance the usability and capability of the site, and I will be able to share my experiences along the way.

Stay tuned...
